Butterflies for Africa offers a wonderland for young and old…and it’s not just about butterflies! Though of course the main attraction is the stunning walk-through butterfly house (one of only two of its kind in Africa). This tropical paradise is home to some of the world’s most beautiful butterflies which glide around and even land on visitors. Trained guides are available at all times to ensure you get the most out of your visit. Also look out for the friendly birds, fish, stick insects and iguanas.
The monkey enclosure houses rare cotton top tamarin monkeys. Guided tours allow visitors into the enclosure for direct contact with these adorable balls of fluff – a truly special experience! And a new baby was born in the enclosure at the end of May!
The Blue Caterpillar Art Gallery is a must see, showcasing the works of around 40 top artists with new exhibitions every month. Currently on show include much sought after works by Charmaine Eastment. The butterfly theme store also stocks for a great range of novel gift items.
A scrumptious array of cakes and lunches, all freshly prepared, are on offer at the coffee shop. Not to mention some of the best coffee in Pmb! Also on site is an outdoor garden, a maze, audio-visual show and a plant nursery.
